Lime Production Plant Process

The limestone is fed into the preheater via a vibrating feeder, high temperature exhaust gases preheat the limestone to about 850°C. The preheated limestone is calcined in a vertical lime kiln or limestone rotary kiln. The temperature inside the kiln is around 1000-1100°C, eventually quicklime is formed. The calcined quicklime enters the rotary cooler or vertical cooler for rapid cooling to below 60℃.

Limestone is cooled and conveyed to the storage area using a bucket elevator conveyor or screw conveyor machine. If customers have special requirements, we can use a ball mill for limestone, a raymond mill, or a vertical grinding mill to grind the limestone into a suitable particle size before packing.
