Vertical Preheater Working Principle
- Material feeding: The raw materials are fed to the top of the vertical preheater via a conveyor system. The feeding device can precisely control the feed rate. The material is continuously fed into the vertical preheater and evenly distributed across its cross-section. Evenly distributed layers help improve heat exchange efficiency.
- Countercurrent heat exchange: Countercurrent heat exchange is a crucial step in achieving efficient heat recovery. The material moves from top to bottom under the influence of gravity. High-temperature exhaust gas moves upwards under the action of the system's induced draft fan. During this process, the materials and high-temperature exhaust gas come into full contact. High-temperature exhaust gas efficiently transfers a large amount of heat energy to materials with lower temperatures, quickly completing the heat exchange.
- Material discharge: After sufficient preheating, the temperature of the material can reach 600-800°C. Then the high-temperature material gathers at the bottom of the vertical preheater. The material is stably discharged through the airlock unloading device. At the same time, prevent cold air from entering. The high-temperature material is then fed into a limestone rotary kiln or a vertical lime kiln. The fuel consumption in the subsequent calcination process will be greatly reduced.
- Exhaust gas discharge: After the exchange is complete, the temperature of the exhaust gas drops to around 300°C. Discharged from the top of the vertical preheater. It then enters a baghouse dust collector or other exhaust gas treatment system. After purification, it is discharged.
