Dolomite Calcination Plant Solution
The dolomite calcination plant is a specialized production line for dolomite calcination. The dolomite is heated to 1100℃~1250℃ in limestone rotary kiln, it decomposes into magnesium oxide (MgO), quicklime (CaO), and carbon dioxide (CO₂). Separation and extraction of magnesium and calcium by calcination, providing essential raw materials for various industrial applications. The raw material utilization rate of modern dolomite calcination plant limestone rotary kiln is up to 90%, twice as much as conventional kilns. Limestone rotary kiln calcined dolomite has high reactivity, and the extraction rate of magnesium and the utilization rate of silicon are high.

Advantages of Dolomite Calcination Plant
Energy-saving
The limestone rotary kiln of the dolomite calcination plant is designed with refractory bricks for insulation. Effectively reduce heat dissipation on the kiln surface. It can save fuel by 40% and increase production by 30%. And it extends the life of the equipment.
High Efficiency
The dolomite calcination plant uses a hydraulic push roller system, which effectively increases the calcination performance of equipment. The calcination efficiency increases by 80% and more. Stable operation and high processing capacity.
Intelligent Control System
The dolomite calcination plant uses advanced automation control technology, continuous monitoring, and regulation of temperature, pressure, flow, etc. Ensure the stability of the calcination process and the consistency of product quality.
Low Energy Consumption
The limestone rotary kiln of the dolomite calcination plant utilizes advanced heat exchange technology. Effective improvement of energy utilization reduced fuel consumption and operating costs.
Advanced Preheating Process
The limestone rotary kiln in AGICO’s dolomite calcination plant utilizes advanced exfoliation technology. Optimizing the rotary kiln structure and preheating system to effectively enhance the calcination efficiency and energy utilization rate. In this process, a vertical preheater utilizes high-temperature exhaust gases as a heat source, heating the dolomite to over 600°C. The dolomite finished the preliminary decomposition, effectively reducing the burden of calcination in the subsequent limestone rotary kiln.
Through this design the overall efficiency of the calcination process. The temperature of exhaust gas is controlled at about 150°C, compliance with flue gas dedusting standards. Compared with traditional craftsmanship, this preheating technology effectively reduces fuel consumption and increases the reactivity and end-product quality of dolomite.
Economic Benefits of Dolomite Calcination Plant
The Market Value of Products
The dolomite calcination plant produces high-quality calcined dolomite through accurate temperature control and advanced calcination process. Calcined dolomite is widely used in various industries such as steel, building materials, fertilizers, and refractories. Demand for dolomite calcined products to continue to grow, bring stable market share, and long-term profit returns for dolomite calcination plants.
Environmental Benefits
Modern dolomite calcination plant uses advanced flue gas treatment and wastewater treatment technologies to the reduction of emissions of harmful gases such as carbon dioxide, sulfides, nitrogen oxides, etc, compliance with environmental requirements in all regions. It can also receive environmental subsidies or policy support from the government.
Long-term Returns
The dolomite calcination plant is a long-term operational project. As technology advances and market demand grows, the economic benefits of the production line will grow over the long-term operation.
Dolomite Calcination Plant Process
- Raw Material Handling: The dolomite is crushed to the required particle size by a jaw stone crusher. Then sieving and mixing to ensure the raw material has uniform quality. And is sent to the preheater feed by vibrating the feeder.
- Dolomite Calcination: The dolomite calcination system consists of a vertical preheater, limestone rotary kiln, and rotary cooler. First, the raw material enters the preheating zone, the high-temperature flue gas is discharged limestone rotary kiln preheats the material to over 600℃. Then, enter the calcination zone, the temperature usually between 1100°C and 1250°C. The cylindrical limestone rotary kiln rotates constantly to make the material uniformity of heating.
- Cooler: After calcination, the material is sent to the cooling zone, cooled to below 100°C and discharged. The cooling process is usually required to be completed in a short period of time, to ensure the stability and reactivity of dolomite.
- Finished Product Handling: After cooling, the dolomite needs to classification through screening equipment. Some of the calcined dolomite enters the storage area for packaging or transportation. Some products with special applications require further crushing or processing.
