Process Flow of the Zinc Oxide Rotary Kiln (Waelz Kiln)

1. Raw material processing: The raw materials are crushed, sieved, and dried. An automatic batching system is used to thoroughly mix the raw materials and reducing agents in the specified proportions. Ensure the reaction remains stable afterward. Sometimes, it also needs to be processed into 8–15 mm granules. The material is fed into the zinc oxide rotary kiln using a conveyor system.
2. Calcination: The temperature inside the zinc oxide rotary kiln is 1000~1200℃. The kiln body rotates slowly, and then the material continuously tumbles forward. The materials are drying, preheating, reduction, and volatilization in this process.
3. Flue gas oxidation and cooling: Zinc vapor comes into full contact with air in the flue, and zinc oxide particles are formed. The high-temperature flue gas then enters the cooling system to cool down.
4. Zinc oxide collection: The cooled flue gas then enters dust collection equipment such as baghouse dust collectors. The zinc oxide powder is collected into the finished product silo. Exhaust emissions are ensured to meet environmental standards.
5. Finished product packaging: Zinc oxide products are stored, weighed, and then automatically packaged or transported in bulk. It can be used directly for sale or further refined.
