1. Raw material handling

The high-quality magnesite is processed into 10-50mm uniform particles by limestone crusher. It ensures the uniformity of subsequent calcination and product activity. Then we use the screw conveyor machine to transport magnesite to the next stage.

2. Preheat

The magnesite is preheated before calcination through a preheater. The preheat mainly uses waste heat from the kiln. It effectively improves thermal efficiency and reduces energy consumption. During the preheating process, Part of the crystal water and carbonates in the magnesite begin to decompose.

3. Calcination

After preheating, the magnesite enters the calcination kiln, we can use a vertical lime kiln or limestone rotary kiln. The kiln lining is made of special refractory materials and the temperature is controlled within the range of 700°C to 1000°C. MgCO₃will decompose to produce MgO and carbon dioxide.
Vertical lime kiln: The vertical lime kiln is suitable for massive caustic calcined magnesite, small footprint, high thermal efficiency, suitable for small and medium-sized enterprises.
Limestone rotary kiln: Limestone rotary kiln has a wide range of applications, good controllability of calcination temperature and time, high product activity and stable quality, and is suitable for large-scale production.

4. Cooling

The high-temperature light-burned magnesium oxide after calcination is quickly cooled to room temperature through a cooler to ensure the high activity of CCM and avoid secondary sintering.

5. Exhaust gas treatment

First, the waste heat from the kiln tail gas is collected and used for preheating the raw materials. The dust generated during the production process is collected and treated by a baghouse dust collector, industrial cyclone dust collector, or esp electrostatic precipitator to ensure that environmental protection requirements are fully met.
