Active Lime Production Line Solution
The active lime production line produces a high-quality lime product. Minerals with high calcium carbonate content (e.g. limestone, dolomite, chalk, etc.) are calcined at high temperatures of 1000-1100°C. Compared with common lime, the activity of activated lime up to 360~400ml, is widely used in iron and steel smelting, chemical industry, power plant desulfurization, and other industries. The activity of common lime within 200ml is commonly used in low-demand scenarios such as construction and road repair. Compared with other kilns, the quality of active lime is better in limestone rotary kiln.

Vertical Preheater
- Vertical preheater consists of three main parts. First, the upper feeding system, The feeding method, and the structure guarantee a complete closure when feeding the preheater body to prevent cold air from entering the preheater. Second, the main body of the preheater, the material can be preheated to about 900°C. It is mostly metal components, some of which are made of heat-resistant steel. Third, the hydraulic actuator device, Hydraulic actuator can realize automatic control program sequence pushing material.
- A limestone rotary kiln consists of a rotating cylindrical kiln. Kiln lined with refractory bricks, calcination of preheated limestone at high temperature. The kiln body is usually slightly inclined and rotates while moving the material along the inner surface of the kiln. This increases the contact area between the material and the hot air. The kiln temperature is generally controlled at 1000-1100°C.
- Vertical cooler according to the characteristics of activated lime fast burning and rapid cooling. Prevent the lime clinker from continuing to react under the effect of high temperatures after leaving the kiln, crystal growth occurs, and changes in active properties. Also through the rapid conversion of material waste heat to obtain a higher quality of high heat combustion air.
Active Lime Production Line Process
1. Limestone Feeding and Screening: the limestone is fed evenly into the limestone crusher through a vibrating feeder, crushing to 20~50mm particle size. The crushed limestone enters the circular vibrating screen to further sieve to produce a qualified particle size, easy to calcine. Qualified limestone is stacked directly into the preheater through a stacker reclaimer machine.
2. Calcination: the limestone is fed into a vertical preheater, the vertical preheater increases the limestone temperature to about 800~900°C, utilization of high-temperature exhaust gases from rotary kilns, significantly reduces the energy consumption of limestone rotary kiln. Preheated limestone is fed into a limestone rotary kiln to calcine. The Kiln temperature is 1000℃-1100℃. The rotary kiln adopts a rotating structure, which makes the materials fully in contact with the hot airflow and ensures even and complete calcination. After calcination, the limestone is fed into the vertical cooler, cooled lime, and activeness can reach 360~400ml.
3. Exhaust Gas Treatment: Exhaust gases from calcination are subject to a dust removal system to remove dust and fine particles. Sulfur dioxide can be removed from exhaust gases by desulfurization units. Ensure that emissions comply with environmental standards. The exhaust gas treatment system also recovers the heat energy in the exhaust gas for preheating the limestone, thus reducing fuel costs.
4. Finished Product Handling: The cooled limestone is sent to the warehouse for storage in batches of different active nesses of lime. A limestone grinding mill can also be used to grind limestone into powder according to customer’s demand.
