Dead Burned Magnesite

dead burned magnesite

Dead Burned Magnesite Production Line Solution

The dead burned magnesite also called DBM, is a magnesium oxide product that is calcined at high temperature and has highly dense and solidified crystals. It is usually calcined at high temperatures of 1600-2200°C. Dead burned magnesite has excellent high-temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, and thermal shock stability. It is the key raw material to manufacture of kiln refractory bricks and monolithic refractory materials.

What AGICO can offer you

The core of AGICO’s dead burned magnesite solution is to optimize the calcination process, save energy, and protect the environment. It ensures the product has stable performance meets the needs of the high-temperature industry, and reduces energy consumption and emissions. At the same time, we can also provide reliable caustic calcined magnesite solutions to meet the different needs of customers. The most important is that AGICO’s customers can enjoy customized services, providing customers with flexible and efficient choices.

Dead Burned Magnesite Solution Features

High Efficiency

Dead burned magnesite solution is calcined at an ultra-high temperature of 1600~2200℃. The lining is made of high-temperature resistant refractory materials to adapt to long-term high-temperature operation and reduce heat loss. The finished product has high purity and high density.

Strict Quality Control

Real-time online detection of calcination temperature and CO/O₂ content in the kiln. The finished products are tested for key indicators such as MgO content, SiO₂/CaO impurity control, bulk density, and hydration resistance.

Environmental Friendly

Dead burned magnesite solution is equipped with a baghouse dust collector and desulfurization system to effectively reduce the emission of dust and other hazardous substances. And equipped with a waste heat recovery system.

Strong Flexibility

The dead burned magnesite solution uses modular design, and customers can flexible configuration according to actual needs. The production capacity can also be adjusted according to market demand.

Dead Burned Magnesite Process

When high-quality magnesite arrives at the production line, it is stacked according to its grade, composition, etc. The large pieces of magnesite are then crushed into a jaw stone crusher or impact crusher for coarse crushing and broken into small pieces for subsequent processing. The coarsely crushed material will enter the cone stone crusher for fine crushing until it reaches the required particle size.

The crushed magnesite is first preheated using the waste heat from the kiln exhaust gas. Then it enters the calcination zone of limestone rotary kiln or vertical lime kiln, where it is usually calcined at a high temperature of 1600~2200℃. You can choose a limestone rotary kiln or vertical lime kiln according to your specific needs. The fuel used for calcination can be coal powder, natural gas, heavy oil, etc.

Magnesite calcined at high temperatures needs to be cooled quickly to prevent stress cracking and secondary oxidation. The temperature after cooling is usually below 100°C. Part of the heat can be recovered for secondary use. Dead burned magnesite is in block or granular form and can be ground using a limestone grinding mill.

Calcination requires the emission of a large amount of dust, so high-efficiency dust removal equipment must be equipped, such as a baghouse dust collector, industrial cyclone dust collector, esp electrostatic precipitator. These devices can not only capture dust but also recover valuable materials for secondary use. Ensure that the production process meets environmental protection requirements.

Dead Burnt Magnesite Uses

Dead burnt magnesite uses are extensive due to excellent high-temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, high chemical stability, and excellent thermal shock resistance.

1

Steel Industry: Dead burnt magnesite can be used as the lining of converters, electric arc furnaces, and ladles.

2

Lime Industry: Dead burnt magnesite can be made into refractory bricks for the lining of limestone rotary kiln.
