Lime Slaking Process
- Raw material storage: The main raw material for lime slaking is quicklime. The quicklime after calcination (using lime calcination kiln) needs to be placed in a silo. Store in an airtight container to prevent moisture absorption. Ensure the safety of quicklime.
- Feeding: During the production process, quicklime was fed into the lime slaking equipment according to a specific ratio. We will use equipment such as bucket elevator conveyors and screw conveyor machines. This equipment can deliver quicklime evenly and continuously to the lime slaking equipment.
- Slaking reaction: When quicklime enters the lime slaking system, it reacts with water. The temperature will rapidly rise in this process. Our lime slaking system has a stirring device and a temperature control system. Stirring allows quicklime to decompose rapidly. Finally, lime slurry is formed.
- Cooling and Separation: The slaked lime mortar has a very high temperature. It requires natural cooling or heat exchange cooling. At the same time, it is also necessary to separate out the unburnt limestone and impurities.
- Store: The cooled lime slurry was then transferred to a storage tank. Storage tanks are usually equipped with agitators to prevent particles from settling. The lime slurry will then be fed into the next system.
